My name is Kalyn. I am a believer in Christ, happily married to my high school sweetheart, and a lover of many fabulous people, places, and things. I am a big fan of family and
friends, coffee, southern foods, big cities, interior design, photography,
crafts, holidays, organization and teaching. I was born in Louisiana, but grew up in south Alabama. Upon high school graduation I decided to move to Baton Rouge. At the time, I attended Southeastern Louisiana University and Louisiana State University for three consecutive years. Currently, I live in my "home" state of Alabama. The love of my life proposed in August of 2011 and we became Mr. and Mrs. in our hometown on June 23, 2012. I enjoy spending my days with my husband, creating disasters from master recipes in our kitchen, and playing around with photography, DIY projects, and design of many sorts. Also, I am pursing the completion of my Bachelor Degree majoring in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, with a certification in Special Education.
I have been blessed with a sweet family, beautiful sister, and beyond wonderful in-laws. This journey in life thus far has been amazing and I consider it pure joy to share it with others. Although I am still young, extremely inexperienced, and am learning new things about life, myself, and others each day, I like to think I have gotten this far in life for a purpose. I truly believe there is a reason the Lord still has me here so I plan to blog about it.
Here you will find my ramblings of everyday life, love, and all the Lord is teaching me as I attempt the art of being a new wife. I invite anyone who stumbles upon a blog post to follow along as I journal life, love, and my faith. These three topics will contain posts on Christ, inspiration, encouragement, marriage, obtaining my professional education, family, friends, recipes, fashion, organization, DIY projects, and wedding planning tips. I hope you will find yourself more in love with life and laughing your way through each post when reading blurbs from my little happily ever after world.
My life is not interesting by any means, but I love the thought of knowing that I can "electronically journal" our day to day experiences. I want to be able to remember everything that we are experiencing and learning through marriage- the good, the bad and whatever falls in between. Through this blog I hope to spread some love, laughter, and a little happily ever after to all.
As the author of Love. Laughter. Happily Ever After, I created this blog to journal personal thoughts on life, love, and faith. Through this blog, it is my desire to share life as I learn from the past, teach others and myself for future reference, and reflect on all things in order to flourish as a Christian, wife, future educator, daughter, and friend to the best of my ability. Through this blog, it is my desire to serve Christ and others by providing a source of laughter, honest comfort, deep compassion, encouraging prayers, and inspiration for the road ahead. Through this blog, it is my desire to portray Christ while networking with others through the writings of quality posts on personal issues, creative ideas, and passions of my lifestyle. As the author of Love. Laughter. Happily Ever After, it is my desire to uphold the image of a Proverbs 31 blogger who “is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
