Let Love Be Genuine

Good Morning, friends! Happy Love Month!

While attending LSU I was involved with a girls only Bible study one day of the week. We would meet, discuss a particular woman of the word in depth, and establish a verse to commit to memory before the next meeting. It was truly a great fellowship experience, devotional accountability, and I was able to meet many awesome ladies. In particular, this verse it one that we studied in depth at one point. Today seemed to fitting for the occasion and I decided to share.

Love is a beautiful thing. As most of you know, I am obsessed! Regardless, I truly believe that the Lord designed love in a spectacular way and when He is at the center of the foundation, blessings rain down. I hope that you take the next few days to stop and truly realize all those who love you, those you love, and all the Lord has blessed you with in this life because of love.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love.Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:9-21

Whether it is loving friends, loving family members, loving teachers, loving your school, loving your church, loving your passion, loving your job, loving your community, I would just like to encourage you to purely love. Love a little extra this month starting today. It does not matter if you are single, dating, married, or a child of the Lord, just love on someone.

Spread the love, people! :)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! :)

As always, until next time- Happy Blogging!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
